Do you want a faster way to increase your income? If you already have several low-priced items, for example, 7-dollar reports, then keep reading. I’ll show you how to repurpose content and increase your revenue without writing anything new.
Creating content sometimes can seem like a full-time job, even if you spend time repurposing, using PLR, and hiring writers to help. But, there is a way to create higher-priced information products by bundling.
One of the most exciting things about every information product you create is that you can use them again to create higher-priced products, the ultimate in repurposing. Start with blog posts, turn them into information products, and then create ultimate theme bundles from the content you’ve created.
To encourage bundle purchases, consider occasional special offers or include them as value-added items, enticing customers to upgrade from smaller informational products.
- Yearly Bundle– Here’s great idea on how to repurpose content: take all the content you’ve created for your audience throughout the year and make it into a giant bundle. This works best in a very well-defined niche so that everything in the bundle goes together naturally. Make this a huge bundle and ensure that your audience saves 25 to 50 percent off the entire bundle over individual purchases.
- Monthly Bundles– You can also put together special monthly bundles for each type of content you’ve made about each topic. This helps increase your sales for any subject. People love feeling like they’re getting a good deal, so they’ll likely be excited about these bundles. Make them at the end of each month to keep the excitement going about your products.
- Value Added Bonuses– Another great way to add bundles is to use them as an upsell. So, for example, if your customer clicks to purchase your eBook about “Training Cats to Use the Toilet,” you could combine that with other cat-related content as an upsell so that they can get everything you have about cats in one purchase. This will save them money on individual purchases but will increase the average checkout ticket.
When you create the bundle be sure to point out the cost of each product individually so that you can show them a firm number that they’re saving by getting the bundle.
Bundle sales are a great way to boost your income. And your affiliates are going to be more likely to want to promote a higher-priced item than the lower priced items. It’s a step up from “do you want fries with that” and more like the combo meals offered at fast food places. That means it’s worth 250 dollars to you in terms of the time it will take you. Having someone else do it earns you $50 because you end up with time to do something else, such as planning, organizing, and directing your business.
Not all PLR is created equal. It’s best to work only with people you trust when it comes to PLR. There are unscrupulous companies that will steal and sell what they call PLR, but are just plagiarized work that someone created who did not want to sell as PLR. Ask people in your circle of influence where the best places to buy PLR to make sure that you’re getting something legal and well-written.
Consider Where You’re Using It
If you’re using PLR in email, you don’t even have to change it. You can simply cut and paste the content into your autoresponder. This works great for when your using free eCourses as a lead magnet. If you’re putting it on your blog, spend the time to edit it and make it your own. But don’t spend too much time editing because you want to keep it simple.
Know How to Edit the Content
The best way to edit PLR is to change the titles, add your keywords, update sub-headings, rearrange the order of the content and switch out graphics with new ones of your own so that your information product looks different from anyone else’s. Add in your “about” information, front matter, and a table of contents. Don’t forget to change any links to your affiliate links.
Add Something Original
Another thing to do is to add something to it that’s just yours. For example, a cheat sheet, checklist, or workbook to help make the content more useful. Use the PLR as your guide to creating these add-ons. Keep note of what you create because they can also become content upgrades on your website.
You don’t have to do everything yourself. Using PLR is not something that is brand-new for the internet. PLR has been around on some level for as long as people have needed content for their newsletters, magazines, and newspapers. If you think about it even the news uses a type of PLR from the Associated Press to have something to tell you each night. It’s not unethical, and it’s not hard to use. It’ll save you a lot of time and money, and it can fill out your content needs when you need it.
The Three Things You Need To Sell An Info Product
When you want to sell digital information products, you don’t need a warehouse, you don’t have to keep inventory, and selling additional products costs nothing. There are just three things that you need to develop and create so that you can sell an information product once you’ve created the product.
Shopping Cart
You need a shopping cart to process payments from your customers and help deliver your product. There are many different choices today in terms of shopping carts. You can install a shopping cart like Amember.com on your site, or you can use a cloud-based one like JVzoo.com, or Xaaxa.com.
The best way to choose which type of cart you want to use is to determine the features you want. For example, a shopping cart that also handles affiliates will be most helpful if you want to let other people promote your products. Plus, determine your technical capabilities and resources. For example, if you’re short on funds and have no idea how to use Amember.com then you might want to try one of the other solutions.
Once you choose the shopping cart that you’re going to use, educate yourself about how to use it so that you know how your sales page, download page, or thank you page work with the shopping cart.
Sales Page
Create a sales page for every product whether it’s free or paid. The reason is that you can use these pages as not only a sales page but an email capture page too. If you’re using Amember.com, for example, you can sell a product for free which will add people to the email list that you choose.
A sales page can be long or short. It really depends on your audience, the product, and the cost of the product. The more it costs the more you need a longer sales page. The sales page lists the benefits of having the information product to the buyer and then offers the customer a way to buy.You can build your sales page simply by adding a page to your website manually, or you can use software such as leadpages.net, clickfunnels.com or instapages.com.
Thank You / Download Page
A download page can also be a thank-you page. On this page is where you’ll put the link for your buyer to download the item they purchased. How this is done depends on whether you’re using software like Amember or not, because then a download page is optional, but still a good idea because it gives you more real estate to offer upsells and cross-sells to your buyers.
Your download page should congratulate them on their smart purchase and give them instructions for getting their purchase. In addition, link to other opportunities to buy more from you by asking them to check out your other related offerings that they might like.
If you get into the habit of creating the sales page and the thank you / download page right away, you’ll have a lot less work to do when you add everything to your shopping cart system because it’s going to ask you for that information as it leads you through the process.
What Products Can Go Deeper?
When you seek to go deeper with the information, you need to start with content that is broad. Look at the products you already have, which can be dug into a little deeper? For example, if you have an information product that describes 21 ways to get more traffic, which one of those 21 ways can be dove into explicitly? For example, if one idea is to use Facebook Ads, do you have the expertise to expand on how to run Facebook Ads to get more traffic?
Which Products Can Go Wide?
If you already sell products that are laser-focused on specific ways to do something, then you can always develop an overview product. For example, if you have a website that promotes a specific diet, such as the low-carb diet, you can create an information product that includes all the reasons to eat low-carb. That would give your audience a good overview.
Get Organized
To ensure that product creation goes smoothly, it’s important to get organized. You can use old-fashioned paper notebooks, software like Evernote, and even Mindmaps to map out the information products you want to create. The important thing is to keep everything organized so it’s easy to work on it when you schedule it.
Creating content based information products doesn’t take long if you pay attention to the content you publish that’s doing well and getting good engagement on your blog, comments on your social media networks, and even email responses. They are all ways to come up with information product ideas that will sell.
